WATERCOLOR ART
Abstract |
Before I began working on landscapes, I had to get used to using watercolors as a medium. So, the result was making an abstract work by drawing random lines and using watercolor. Using the watercolor I was able to experiment with different amount of waters and paints, as well as looking for what colors work best with what color. Overall, I enjoyed doing this because it helped me learn how to use the watercolor and actually get used to it and see how it works, which I believe is quite essential when working with different mediums.

Landscape |
For the landscape, I found a picture online that showed perspective and varieties of color hues. I naturally am drawn to images with water and or water like things, so I chose this photo, as I thought it was water, but later realized it is an actual building. Some wonderful architecture.
Anyways, I later copied the image, and had to redo it with watercolor paints. It was quite a challenge with the water control. I also had a difficult time making the different shades. I overall enjoyed it as well. I learned new techniques and was able to remake it. Looking at the pictures, I realized they look the same, have the same look, but there is a different atmosphere. Colors can make everything, and can make people feel different things. Same picture, different colors, different feelings. |
